She appeared as Claire Redfield based off the character from the videogame of similar title. Even though it wasn't the most popular among critics, the movie tripled its budget. Larter made an appearance in the comedy about cavemen Homo Erectus which was released direct-to-DVD. It also starred Hayes MacArthur, an actor whom she was engaged to get married . Larter made an appearance in Obsessed along with Beyonce, Idris and Idris. It was the first film to open at number one on the theaters, however the film was not a huge hit by critics. They compared the film with Fatal Attraction. This was also the year when Larter and MacArthur were married in a modest ceremony in Maine The guest at the wedding was his close friend Amy Smart.
