Katheryn Winnick
Katheryn Winnick is a Canadian actress, producer and director. Winnick was the star of the critically acclaimed and Emmy-winning television show Vikings that was created by MGM, The History Channel, and won a number of accolades. Winnick has also helmed one episode from Vikings in the year 2020. Entertainment Weekly said that "Lagertha" was the "most exciting feminist character in the world of television." Katheryn has been awarded numerous awards in her portrayal of the ferocious shieldmaiden. Some of them include her winning the Women's Image Network Award for the Top Actress of a drama TV Series for the year 2018, the Critic's Choice Award to be the top Supporting Actress and the Canadian Screen Award for the Most Outstanding Performance of the Lead Dramatic Actress for 2014. She also won The Women's Image Network Award for the Best Actress for a Television Drama Series for the years 2015 and 2016 in addition to the Golden Maple Award for the Most Outstanding Actress in the role of a TV Series. Katheryn earned an award called the Serendipity Film Award of Excellence for The Banff World Media Festival 2015. Katheryn has been selected as a member of the jury for the upcoming Cannes Series Festival.
